2017 ASCLA and NLS Standards Revision
REVISION TEAM
The revision of the 2011 Standards and Guidelines of Services for the Library of Congress Network of Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped started in September, 2015 after the President of the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Lbrary Agencies (ASCLA) with input from the Library of Congress/ National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (LC/NLS) appointed a Working TEam and the Advisory Committee members.
The Request for Proposal for the Project Director was announced Fall 2015 and the current Project Director, took office in April 2016. The process is funded by a grant from the LC/NLS to the American Library Association. The (ASCLA, a division of ALA, administers the project.
The project is led by the Project Director, a Working Team and a Project Advisory Committee.
